It’s Random Acts of Poetry Day
And I have to say
I love this day.
Write a poem, short or long,
Perhaps even a little song,
Write about anything that you see,
A horse, a cart,
A little bee.
Now that poem isn’t great, but it is Random Acts of Poetry Day, so get your rhyming, or non-rhyming poetry hats on.
The aim of today is to leave a poem somewhere randomly. Some people write them in chalk on a wall or pavement.
Or write it on a piece of paper and leave it on the table in the coffee shop for the next customer.
Or send a little poem to your friends and family.
Poetry is doesn’t just belong in books. It should be spoken and shared.
