Get Britain Working and Mental Health - The UK Government has introduced new plans to support nearly three million people in the UK who are not able to work due to long time sickness. This includes mental and physical health and one in eight young people not in employment, training or education.
The Get Britain Working white paper also includes a plan to expand Talking Therapies offered by the NHS (National Health Service).
This is the government’s response to the levels of mental health difficulties in the UK. The mental health charity, MIND, estimates that a quarter of people in England have some kind of mental health difficulty and one in six people have reported a common mental health difficulty in that week. Common mental health difficulties include anxiety and depression. #mentalhealth #getbritainworking #depression #anxiety #talkingtherapies #counselling #whitepaper
